<p class="Paragraph">If you have a color printer but only wish to print in black and white, you have the following options:</p>
<p class="Head2">Printing text and graphics in black and white</p>

<p class="P2">Choose <span class="T1">File - Print</span>. This opens the <span class="T1">Print</span> dialog.</p>

<p class="P2">Click on <span class="T1">Properties</span>. This opens the properties dialog for your printer.</p>

<p class="P2">Select the option to print in black and white. For further information, refer to the help for your printer or read your printer manual.</p>

<p class="P2">Confirm the Properties dialog and click OK in the <span class="T1">Print</span> dialog.</p>
<p class="P2">The current document will be printed in black and white.</p>

<p class="P3">Under <span class="T1">Quality</span> select either <span class="T1">Grayscale </span>or <span class="T1">Black & white </span>and click OK.</p>
<p class="P3">From now on, <span class="T1">all</span> presentations or drawings will be printed without color. If you only want to get rid of color for the <span class="T1">current</span> printing process, select the option in <span class="T1">File - Print - Options</span>.</p>
<p class="P3">Selecting the <span class="T1">Default </span>quality option allows documents to be printed in color again later on.</p>
<p class="P3"><span class="T1">Grayscale </span>converts everything to a maximum of 256 gradations from black to white.</p>
<p class="P3"><span class="T1">Black & White</span> converts everything into the two values black and white.</p>

<p class="Head2">Printing only text in black and white</p>
<p class="Paragraph">In <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Writer you can choose to print color-formatted text in black and white. You can specify this either for all text documents to be printed subsequently, or only for a printing process of the current text document.</p>
